This page explains how we comply with the UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act 2022 (“PSTI”) and the PSTI (Security Requirements for Relevant Connectable Products) Regulations 2023. Our Commitment to Product Security

Fender Audio designs and maintains its connected products, where applicable, with security considerations applied throughout the product lifecycle. Protecting customer data, privacy, and product integrity is an important responsibility that we take seriously.

We apply recognized industry practices to help reduce the risk of unauthorized access, misuse, or data compromise affecting our devices, associated applications, and services.

Software and Firmware Updates

Where applicable, Fender Audio provides software and firmware updates for each of its connected products to address security issues, improve stability, and enhance functionality.

Update Availability

  • Updates are made available through official Fender Audio distribution channels only.
  • The availability and duration of updates may vary depending on the product model and its supported lifecycle.

Customers are encouraged to install updates when available to maintain product security and performance. See the table below for product-specific commitments.

Passwords and Authentication

We do not use default or easily predictable passwords. Each connected product either requires the user to set credentials which are strong and unique or use device-unique credentials. We enforce minimum strength and lockout policies for logon credentials.

Vulnerability Disclosure

Fender Audio supports responsible security research and welcomes reports of potential vulnerabilities affecting its connected products or services.

Reporting a Security Vulnerability

If you believe you have identified a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly by contacting:

Please include, where possible:

  • Product name and model
  • Software or firmware version
  • A description of the potential vulnerability
  • Steps to reproduce the issue

Our Response Targets

Fender Audio aims to acknowledge vulnerability reports within 5 business days and to investigate and address verified issues within 15 business days and to provide remediation timelines based on severity of the reported issue. We request that reported vulnerabilities are not publicly disclosed until we have been afforded a reasonable period to assess the issue and deploy effective remediation.

Information for Distributors and Partners

Distributors must not supply non-compliant products. We provide Statements of Compliance and product security documentation to all partners and require confirmation that these documents accompany the products on sale.

Product Support Lifecycle

Security updates and support are provided for connected products during their supported lifecycle. Once a product reaches end-of-support, software or firmware updates, including security updates, may no longer be available.

Data Protection and Privacy

Any personal data processed through Fender Audio products or services is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected.
